Secretary General
Dubai Scholars will be hosting its third annual session of DSMUN in 2020 and I am honoured to serve as its Secretary-General. DSMUN has played an important role in my MUN journey; from being one of the first I attended as a delegate, to the first conference where I chaired and now becoming its Secretary-General. Apart from being Head Girl, I enjoy debating, politics, law, and global affairs.

With an able and experienced secretariat in place, DSMUN 2020 ensures a platform where young leaders can effectively debate, discuss and find solutions to pressing world issues.

The theme for this year's conference is “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future” in lieu of 2020 being the year of the Dubai Expo 2020. The theme focuses on providing a platform which fosters creativity, innovation and collaboration globally.

I assure you, Dubai Scholars MUN 2020 will be fun, exciting, challenging, and above all: unforgettable.

Rayyan is a freshman at the American University of Sharjah majoring in industrial engineering and an avid enthusiast of economics and politics. This has led him to be a veteran in MUNs with a record 11 delegate awards out of 12 MUNs as a delegate. He was a core team member of DSMUN 18 and Secretary-General of DSMUN 19. Simultaneously he was Head Boy and then President of his school and maintains an advisory position to the Forbes listed Chairman's office of the Paradigm Pioneers group. To all delegates he has the same message; " Be into what you're doing. Whether it's the first time or the hundredth. Socialize, make friends, and always ensure you try to concentrate on the debate at hand. Lastly, at a MUN, we need to remember two points at the very least: Every country can make an enormous difference to the debate and that we're all here to grow as a person."

Society requires order and order needs authority.
In today's volatile world where everyone is vociferously attempting to cut their compatriots throats to achieve success whether among individuals or among great nations, the foremost need today is the need of order in first the individual then the society then the nation and finally the world.
